Aiscs’ GT-2000 Trail hardly represents the trail shoe reimagined. Instead, Asics simply took its popular road shoe, the GT-2000, kept its Dynamic DuoMax support system and FluidRide midsole, and added a trail specific outsole. Not that there’s anything wrong with trail-ifying the GT-2000, we named the 2000 one of our favorite stability shoes for 2016. If you’re looking for a basic trail running shoe, this is an excellent and safe option; if you’re looking to climb mountains or run down some highly technical trails, steer clear of the GT-2000 Trail.
