The Speedgoat 3 is another one of Hoka One One's trail running options. At 10.3 ounces, it's a little heavier than the EVO Mafate, but it uses a midfoot cage structure for enhanced stability. The shoe also has 5mm lugs for traction and compression molded EVA foam in the midsole for shock absorption. The shoe's name is borrowed from Karl "The Speedgoat" Meltzer, a record-setting trail runner.
