La Sportiva Bushido
Still a relative unknown in the US, the Italian shoemaker La Sportiva has been making mountaineering footwear since 1928. Today, the brand focuses on producing some of the best heavy-duty trail running shoes on the market. The Bushido is one of their best. At first glance, the shoe looks heavy, but at only 11 oz for men’s size 9, they’re deceptively light. Thanks to an aggressive outsole that get great grip, the shoe excels on the most technical terrain. The biggest problem with the shoe? It’s stiff, making those longer runs feel even longer.
