So much so that they really blend the line with a traditional road racing flat: just enough trail running features are in place on this model to keep you protected while really emphasizing speed. The Sense Pro 3 is not advised for the rockiest terrain but, rather, those courses that are somewhat smoother. The midsole EnergyCell+ cushioning here is thinner than in other models, providing less cushioning and a distinctly firmer support. The mesh upper is lightweight with the brand’s Profeel Film providing a thin protective layer against rocks and debris. As the Sense line of shoes promote a runners natural gait, the shoe has a minimal 4mm drop, which also emphasizes speed through rapid turnovers. The Contagrip outsole here is also noticeably thinner, though the soft rubber lugs still provide good grip on looser ground.
