Like its souped-up cousin, the S/Lab Ultra, the Ultra Pro was designed for the long distances of ultra running. While not marketed to professional runners, this shoe is meant for those intrepid souls who, for lack of a better word, are more of a recreational ultra runner. The Sensifit upper is here in this model with “wings” that wrap around the midfoot, providing some stability functioning with extra support over long distances. The firmer EnergySave foam runs throughout but still provides enough cushioning and the Contagrip outsole is still here for great traction on all kinds of terrain. This combination of features renders the Ultra Pro like the Speedcross of the ultra running world; it’s a fantastic all around shoe for these longer distance races.
