Skechers GoRun Horizon
The Horizon has many of the features in the GoRun line that cater to avid runners, they’re just a tad dialed down for those who may not be pounding pavement on a daily basis or running for distance on a competitive level. The Horizon still makes use of the Ultra-Flight foam for the best in cushioning without weighing you down. Its outsole is still primarily made up of light, blown rubber with strategically placed, more durable rubber in the heel and forefoot. Lastly, the upper is comprised primarily of a lightweight mesh that is breathable and flexible. The more casual features of this shoe is the sock-like collar that allows for the wearer to slip it on, and the fewer laces that are required to lace it up. The higher heel toe drop (6mm compared to the MaxRoad Ultra 3’s 4mm) makes this shoe more about comfort in running with slower and smoother transitions as opposed to maximizing turnover in a race. Since most of the sneaker-wearing population is more casual in their running, the Horizon remains extremely popular, making it one of the best women’s Skechers for comfort.
