Under Armour Fat Tire

There aren’t many running shoes out there with the word “fat” in the name and once you take a look at it, the name makes sense: this shoe is big, bold, colorful and innovative. Typical running shoe descriptions just won’t do. The name comes from the shoe’s outsole, which is made of Michelin (yes, the tire company) rubber with big fat lugs for maximum grip on rough terrain. The other feature that commands attention is that this big bad girl has no laces. Instead, the shoe uses the Boa Closure System with a small dial that tightens, adjusts and loosens its patented laces by turning it left and right. This provides a unique custom fit without the worry of laces coming undone or getting caught on branches or rocks, also ideal for trail work. The Charged cushioning in the midsole provides the utmost in comfort and support from hard-packed dirt to rocky paths and the contrasting colors make the shoe go from “fat” to “phat,” with purple, orange, red, and florescent yellow all on the table as options. But in addition to all this flash, the shoe can also be considered Under Armour’s best for trail running and walking. The Fat Tire is big. The Fat Tire is loud. And it’s pretty darn cool.
