Under Armour HOVR Infinite
The latest in Under Armour’s HOVR line is the Infinite, which has all the cushioning benefits and long distance attributes of the Guardian without quite so many of the stability features. It was created purely for the long-distance runner, with the durable outsole, maximum cushioning with just enough firm support and return, and a highly breathable mesh upper that long miles require. The combination of the brand’s HOVR foam, which provides responsiveness and bounce back, and the Charged foam which provides cushioning, makes for softness surrounded by what UA terms “an energy web” for maximum return. The tongue of the shoe is well padded and an external heel counter keeps your stride in line even when fatigue tries to throw off your gait. Lastly, like the Guardian, the Infinite has the same midsole sensor that can sync your running stats to the brand’s Map My Run app. The Infinite is pretty much what Under Armour does best: creating high quality athletic products that have the perfect balance of features for a reasonable price. In this case, the long distance runner has just enough of the best long distance features combined into one great shoe.
